Tech leader announced as Hertfordshire Limited guest speaker

The executive vice president of Hertfordshire based global technology company Imagination Technologies will be sharing his business insights at the 2015 Hertfordshire Limited event next month when the results of the annual study into the performance of the county's top 200 companies will be announced.

Tony King-Smith joined tech R&D specialist Imagination Technologies in 2006 and is responsible for marketing the business which creates and markets processor solutions for consumer products, ranging from mobile phones to cars. With over 30 years' experience in the technology sector, Tony has held senior positions at big industry names including Panasonic, Hitachi and British Aerospace.

Jeremy Read, partner at Grant Thornton who is hosting Hertfordshire Ltd 2015, said: "Imagination Technologies is a global leader in the technology sector and supports the creation of a range of electronic products we all use every day. We are delighted to welcome Tony to speak at this year's event and look forward to hearing the valuable insights he can bring from his time working at such a high profile and well established company."

Since its launch in 2012, the Hertfordshire Ltd report, produced by business advisers Grant Thornton, has provided an overall indicator of the health of Hertfordshire's economy, looking at a range of key performance indicators including turnover, profit and employment for the top 200 companies owned and managed in the county.

The 2015 findings will be unveiled to over 100 local business leaders at a breakfast event on Wednesday 2 December at The Old Palace, Hatfield House.

Steve White, corporate finance director at Grant Thornton who co-authored the report, added: "With its strong transport links and close proximity to London, Hertfordshire is a fantastic place to do business. The county is home to dynamic and innovative organisations across a range of sectors and we expect this year's report to show a strong economic performance."
